Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka is a British-American sitarist and musician. She was the youngest and first woman to win the British House of Commons Award. Anoushka Shankar is a rising star on the Indian sitar. She is a student as well as daughter of the legendary Ravi Shankar. Born in London and grew up in New Delhi, she spent the early years of her life bouncing between London and New Delhi. In the age of thirteen she staged her first performance on stage in New Delhi. In Encinitas California in 1999, she was awarded the high-school certificate. Even though she's very young, Anouskha is a star in her performing and recording career. She has been performing with her father in the stage for a long time.
